Description

This book was not written to be popular; it was written to be accurate. I did not set out to critique Black culture, nor did I wake up one day angry, wounded, or looking for a fight. What led to this book was far more unsettling than emotion: clarity. Clarity was gained the moment I realized that asking basic, reasonable questions was no longer allowed if you shared my skin color. The response was not disagreement. It was enforcement.
I was not challenged on facts. I was challenged on identity. I was not asked to defend my reasoning. I was told what I was allowed to be. And that was the moment I understood something fundamental had shifted not politically, but spiritually. When a culture punishes logic and rewards emotional conformity, it is no longer operating on truth. It is operating under control. I am a Black woman. I am also an American woman. More importantly, I am a Christian. That hierarchy is intentional and non-negotiable. My allegiance to Jesus Christ comes before race, culture, politics, or public approval. That alone places me outside the modern cultural script, because contemporary discourse increasingly treats race as moral authority and emotion as evidence.
Christianity does not allow that inversion. Scripture does not teach that identity overrides truth. It does not teach that offense determines reality. It does not teach that feelings excuse behavior or that history absolves accountability. It teaches order, discipline, responsibility, repentance, and freedom—freedom that begins internally, not through social validation. This book exists because Black culture, as it is currently expressed in public life, has drifted from those principles while claiming moral superiority. It has become emotionally loud, intellectually fragile, and spiritually hollow, quick to cancel, slow to reason, eager to be affirmed, and resistant to correction. Those are not racial traits. They are symptoms of a culture that has removed God as its authority and replaced Him with grievance.
